Will Ospreay Signs With NJPW; Loses Out On Planned TNA Push

In the latest news that just goes to show how much attention TNA is paying to things, European sensation Will Ospreay lost in under five minutes during his TNA debut due to the promotion failing to realize he had signed with NJPW.

Ospreay, known for his work with Progress, RevPro, and ICW, was one of three British wrestling stars that TNA was including on their UK Tour, along with Jimmy Havoc and Big Damo, made his TNA debut against Mandrews and he lost handily. The match was taped for Xplosion (or was a dark match), and TNA pulled the plug on Ospreay’s push when they found out the 22 year old had signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Learning of Ospreay’s signing couldn’t have sat well with the promotion, especially seeing how they lost out on signing Styles, Anderson, and Gallows recently and looking back at the public debacle they turned that into.

Ospreay will debut with NJPW at the 4/10/16 Invasion Attack show and will be part of the Best Of The Super Juniors Tournament.
