It has been announced that the main event for the next Progress Wrestling event – Chapter 31: All Hail The New Puritans – will pit Progress Champion Marty Scurll against Chris Hero, with the Progress title on the line. While Scurll did not wrestle at the last Progress event (Super Strong Style 16 2016), he did feature on commentary for the two tournament semi-finals during which he reportedly continually criticized Chris Hero. He then attracted Hero’s ire after Hero’s loss to Tommy End, almost leading to a physical confrontation between the pair. Meanwhile Hero had a brilliant showing at the event, his three tournament matches against Mark Andrews, Big Daddy Walter and Tommy End being the standout bouts of the weekend for most fans.
Hero vs Villain is a match that fans are extremely hyped to see. Chapter 31 takes place at the Ritz in Manchester on Sunday 19th June. A few tickets are still available.
